There is a big update revealed regarding DA. There is good news for seven and a half lakh government employees of Madhya Pradesh. In the new year, the Mohan Yadav government of the state can once again give a big gift to the employees of the state. It is reported that from January 2024, the state government is preparing to increase the dearness allowance by 3 percent. According to sources, its draft has been prepared by the Finance Department, which can be presented in the cabinet meeting after January 2025.
Big update on DA
In fact, at present, the DA of state employees is 50% and now the Mohan government is preparing to increase it by 3% again from January 2024, after which the DA will increase from 50 to 53%. There is a provision for dearness allowance at the rate of 56% in the budget. The establishment expenditure of the departments has also been prepared accordingly, that is, there is no problem of budget provision.
The dearness allowance of All India Service officers has been increased to 53% since July 2024, but the employees and pensioners of the state are still getting the benefit of 50% DA, due to which there is resentment among the employees.
DA of employees has increased by 4% in October, arrears paid in 4 installments
1. It is worth mentioning that in October, the Mohan Yadav government of the state had increased the DA of government employees by 4%, after which the DA has increased from 46% to 50%. The new rates will be applicable from January 2024, so the DA arrears payable from January to September 2024 will be paid in 4 equal installments. This will benefit 7.50 lakh employees of the state. Government servants will get benefits ranging from Rs 620 to Rs 5640 every month from 50 percent DA.
2. The first installment of arrears will be released in December 2024, the second installment in January 2025, the third installment in February 2025 and the fourth installment in March 2025. It is estimated that Class I officers can get arrears up to Rs 57,000, Class II employees Rs 32,000, Grade III employees Rs 14,000 and Grade IV employees Rs 7,000.
