With this, the price of CNG in Gujarat has now increased to Rs 77.76 per kg. Gujarat Gas has given this information by sending a letter to its franchise owners. Earlier in July, CNG prices were increased by 1 rupee. In August, the price was again increased by 1 rupee. The new new prices have come into effect from Saturday midnight.

A large number of people will be affected

The hike in prices will affect over 4 lakh users of CNG vehicles in South Gujarat. Surat has 60 CAG pumps and South Gujarat has 250 CNG pumps. Auto rickshaws and school vans use CNG the most. This may force school van operators to increase their charges.
