1. Open the IRCTC app on your mobile phone.
2. Log in by entering ID and password.
3. Click on ‘Train’ on the home page.
4. Now tap on Chart Vacancy.
5. After tapping on ‘Chart Vacancy’, a new browser page will open. Here you have to enter the train number, date of journey and station name and click on ‘Get Train Chart’.
6. After clicking on ‘Get Train Chart’, you will see the option of First AC, Second AC, Third AC, Third Economy and Sleeper Class.
7. Now tap on the class in which you want to locate the empty seat. For example, if you want to find an empty seat in the third AC class, click on the third AC.
8. Now the details of all the vacant seats in the third AC will come on your screen, from where to where in which coach and which number of seats are vacant.

1. Click on the IRCTC website https://www.irctc.co.in/online-charts/.
2. Enter the train number, journey date, and station name and click on ‘Get Train Chart’.
3. Now you will see the option of First AC, Second AC, Third AC, Third Economy and Sleeper Class.
4. Now tap on the class in which you want to locate the empty seat. For example, if you want to find an empty seat in sleeper class, click on sleeper class.
5. Now the details of all the vacant seats in the sleeper class will come on your screen, from where to where in which coach and which number of seats are vacant.
