Navy Day is celebrated on 4 December in the country. Every year on this day, the 1971 war between India and Pakistan is remembered. It is celebrated as a celebration of the unforgettable victory of the Indian Navy. All kinds of products are given to the soldiers of the country’s army at the CSD canteen.
These also include four-wheelers and two-wheelers. Only 14% GST is charged from the soldiers instead of 28% at the Canteen Stores Department i.e. CSD. Due to this a large amount of tax is saved by the soldiers on buying a car from here. According to Cars24, the starting price of Maruti New Dzire is only Rs 5.80 lakh.
Before knowing about the prices of Dzire at the Canteen Stores Department (CSD), let us understand CSD. CSD is the sole-owned enterprise of the Government of India under the Ministry of Defense. There are 34 CSD depots in India in cities like Ahmedabad, Bagdogra, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
It is operated by the Indian Armed Forces. Sell food, medical items, household necessities, and even cars at affordable prices to a select section of the Indian population. Customers eligible to buy a car from CSD include serving and retired armed forces personnel, widows of military personnel ex-servicemen, and defense civilians.
Talking about the difference between the civil ex-showroom and CSD prices of Maruti Dzire, there is a difference of Rs 99 thousand in the price of the Lxi variant. Whereas, there is a difference of Rs 1.84 lakh in its prices according to the variant. This difference is in tax.
