Indian Railway gives big surprise to everyone. The journey between Mumbai and Pune will soon be completed in just 25 minutes with hyperloop technology. At present, the journey takes three to four hours. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a video of the approval of the Hyperloop project. This project is the dream project of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, which is being rapidly moved forward after getting the approval of the Central Government.
Hyperloop Technology
In hyperloop technology, the train runs within a special tube with the help of magnetic power without any obstruction. It has the potential to achieve a maximum speed of 1200 km/h, although it will be run at a speed of 600 km/h on the Mumbai-Pune route. The fare of this train is likely to be similar to airplanes, making it a faster and premium option for passengers.
Elon Musk’s suggested technique
The project uses Hyperloop technology suggested by Elon Musk in 2013. The technology was first proposed in the US to reduce travel time between Los Angeles and San Francisco. In India, IIT Madras and the Railways have jointly prepared a 410 km long track for this, where the train will be tested. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had tried to start this project in his previous tenure.
After his leadership ability and the approval of the Central Government, this project has progressed rapidly. Railway Minister told the beginning of a new era
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that this technology will start a new era of travel in India. Hyperloop can also be used on other routes in the future, which will raise the level of travel in the country. The operation and technical infrastructure of the hyperloop train can make India a leader in high-tech rail transportation globally. This project will not only solve traffic problems but will also be environment friendly.
