To enhance job prospects in rural regions, the Central Government has introduced the Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Industries Upgradation Scheme (PMFME Scheme). Through this program, the government offers up to Rs 10 lakh for establishing micro food processing units. The government of Rajasthan is establishing a camp at Krishi Mandi Jalore as part of this initiative.
Kalyan Singh Bhati, secretary of the Shri Kanhaddev Songra Agricultural Produce Market Committee Jalore, stated that the camp will provide details about the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Enterprise Upgradation Scheme (PMFME Scheme) and assist people in submitting online applications for establishing food units. Secretary Kalyan Singh Bhati of the PFFME Scheme-SPMU also attended the camp. Team member Sandeep Saini, General Manager of the District Industries and Commerce Center Sangram Ram Devasi, alongside Rajivika officials and relevant officers, will be available to offer technical and financial support under the scheme.
A subsidy will be provided for establishing flour and dal mills
The aim of the Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Enterprises Upgradation Scheme (PMFME Scheme) is to support small food-related units. Under this program, funding will be provided for flour mills, pulse mills, processing facilities, and units dealing with milk and food products.
Subsidy up to Rs 10 lakh will be available
Under this scheme, 35% grant or up to Rs 10 lakh will be payable by the Central and State Government for setting up new and old units. Under the scheme, there is also a provision of loan assistance by different banks and information related to machinery will also be made available.
In the PMFME scheme, with the help of District Resource Person, training and technical assistance will be provided. Farmers, businessmen and industrial institutions can come to this camp and take advantage of the scheme.
