Bangladesh made 321 runs while losing 5 wickets in 50 overs, aided by Soumya Sarkar’s 73 runs, Mehdi Hasan’s 77 runs, Mahmudullah’s unbeaten 84 runs, and Zakir Ali’s not out 62 runs. In response, West Indies reached the target in only 45.5 overs. With this victory, West Indies completed a clean sweep against Bangladesh in the ODI series.

At one point, it appeared that the Bangladesh team was set to win this match without difficulty. West Indies experienced a poor beginning while pursuing the target of 322 runs. At one point, their score stood at 31 runs for 3 wickets and 86 runs for 4 wickets. At this point, all the major contenders had exited. The game was entirely dominated by Bangladesh, but Amir Jangoo, in his inaugural ODI, fought hard and achieved a remarkable century to secure victory for his team.

Aamir Jangoo scored 104 runs off just 83 balls. He struck 6 fours and 4 sixes with his bat. Aamir reached his century in 80 balls, setting a new world record. This is the quickest century made by any batsman in their first match in the history of ODI cricket. Prior to this, no batsman had made a century in such a limited number of balls during his debut.

Important partnerships

Keacy Carty contributed significantly with a key innings for West Indies. Nevertheless, he fell short of the century. Carty made 95 runs off 88 balls. He hit ten fours and two sixes. Ultimately, Gudakesh Moti, who batted at number eight, made an undefeated 44 runs off 31 balls and, together with Aamir Jangu, guided his team to triumph. Moti scored 3 fours and 3 sixes.
