The plains, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh are also feeling the severe cold. The rain in some parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka has brought down the temperature. In the meantime, the Indian Meteorological Department has expressed hope of heavy rain in many parts of the country.

Cold wave to increase in the capital Delhi

Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that cold wave is expected in the capital Delhi. With this, mercury will fall in the capital and the level of cold can rise significantly. According to IMD, the minimum temperature in Delhi will be 6 degrees and maximum temperature 21 degrees on 14 December.

On 15 December, minimum temperature is likely to be 6 degrees and maximum temperature 20 degrees. On 18 and 19 December, minimum temperature could be 6 degrees and maximum temperature 20 degrees. Along with this, the impact of snowfall in the northern hills will be more. Because of this, frost has begun to form at many places.

Temperature here also is falling.

IMD said that the temperature levels might drop further in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Western Uttar Pradesh. In the coming days, these states may have to face blood-freezing cold. At the same time, the cold wave is expected to increase in many areas, where the minimum temperature can be recorded even lower.

Rain alert

IMD predicts light to moderate rain in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and South Karnataka within the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain is expected in the southern coast of Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Andaman-Nicobar Islands. Meanwhile, there is a cold wave warning issued in some parts of Rajasthan. Frost is expected in most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Western Uttar Pradesh.
