RBI has already said that Banks will not work for 17 days in different states due to festivals as well as second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays in the last month of the year.
Also, online financial services will be available as usual on bank holidays. There are a total of five Sundays during the last month of this year. Since bank holidays in India vary from state to state, you should take a list of their holidays from your bank’s branch or from the RBI website.

December 26 – Thursday – Christmas Celebration (Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya)
December 27 – Friday – Christmas Celebrations (Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya)
December 28 – Fourth Saturday (All over India)
December 29 – Sunday (All over India).
December 30 – Monday – U Kiang Nangbah (Meghalaya)
December 31 – Tuesday – New Year’s Eve/Losong/Namsoong (Mizoram, Sikkim)

All the annual holiday calendars of the bank are declared by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under the provisions of the Negotiable Instruments Act, which deals with the issuance of cheques and promissory notes. Thus, transactions involving these instruments are not available during these listed holidays.
RBI and state governments make a list of holidays for banks taking into account national and local occasions, operational requirements, religious ceremonies and other cultural observances. The central bank makes the announcement through its official website and notification to banks and other financial institutions.
