All Kia cars from Kia Sonet to Carens are equipped with this 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is capable of generating 114hp of power and 250nm of torque. It will come with a 6-speed MT, 6-speed iMT, or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
What will be the price
Kia has removed the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine from the Sonet, which makes it clear that the company wants to keep the price difference between the two cars. We estimate that there will be a price difference of around Rs 1 lakh between the Sonet and the Syros.
A new alternative to the Kia Syros
The Kia Syros will be a new SUV positioned between the Sonet and the Seltos. The car will offer better features and a more spacious rear seat than the Sonet. The teaser image shows that the car will have a boxy design, with low-set headlights and a high roofline.
