Many states across the country have announced winter holidays, and the holiday schedules vary. Some states will have schools closed for 8 days, while others will enjoy a break of 15 days. In Delhi, winter vacation has been confirmed for government and aided schools. According to the Times of India, schools will be closed from January 1, 2025, to January 15, 2025, but this could change based on the weather.
In Punjab, schools will be on break from December 24 to December 31, 2024. There’s a possibility that the holiday period might be extended if the weather calls for it.
In Jammu and Kashmir, schools are closing due to snowfall. For classes up to 5, schools will be shut from December 10, 2024, to February 28, 2025. Meanwhile, classes 6 to 12 will be closed from December 16, 2024, to February 28, 2025. As for states like Haryana, UP, Rajasthan, and Bihar, no official holiday announcements have been made yet, but they might declare breaks starting December 25.
