Farmers refuse to attend meeting called by committee
Farmers have categorically refused to hold a meeting with the committee formed by the Supreme Court to hold direct talks with the farmers regarding the opening of the Shambhu border. A meeting was called by the committee on Wednesday. In a letter sent to the committee, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has written that there was already a fear that the committees were formed only for food supply. Despite this, respecting all of you, a delegation of farmers met the members of the committee on November 4. But despite such a serious situation, the committee has not been able to find time to visit the Shambhu and Khanairi borders. It is very sad to see that the committee has been able to become active after such a delay.
Was the committee waiting for his death? Considering their medical condition and the condition of the farmers injured at the time of their march to Delhi at the Shambhu border, both the fronts have decided that the farmers are unable to hold a meeting with the committee. Now the farmers will hold direct talks only with the central government regarding their demands.
