Aadhaar Card Address Change: The Aadhaar card reveals our identity. We need to provide Aadhaar card for various government and non-government activities, such as obtaining a mobile sim, booking a hotel, or reserving a train ticket. All details contained in the Aadhaar card must be accurate.
In this context, UIDAI, the organization that distributes Aadhaar cards, stated that every Aadhaar holder must refresh their Aadhaar cards every decade. If you have also not refreshed your Aadhaar card in the past 10 years, then this information is for you. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made available the option for free online updates. You can modify Aadhaar at no cost until 14 June 2025. Following this, you will need to pay a charge for updating Aadhaar. While UIDAI advises updating Aadhaar every 10 years, it is not compulsory.
Now the inquiry comes up regarding what you can modify without cost. The response is that address, phone number, and Gmail ID can be modified at no cost. Nonetheless, to update your photo and biometric data, you must visit the Aadhaar center. You must pay a fee to update your information at the Aadhaar center.
Follow the process step by step:
go to the official ID of UIDAI (uidai.gov.in).
Now select My Aadhaar and choose the option ‘Update Your Aadhaar’ from the dropdown menu.
Now a new page will open, select ‘Update Aadhaar Details (Online)’. Now log in with the help of Aadhaar number and captcha.
Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number to log in.
After filling the OTP, you have to select the option you want to update. Now fill all the information correctly.
After filling all the details, submit and upload the documents related to the update. After this click on ‘Submit Update Request’.
Now you will see the request number. With the help of this number, you can track your update request.
