Ingredients for making Rajma Masala:

500 grams of Rajma

One bowl of finely chopped onion

One bowl of finely chopped tomato

Two teaspoons ginger garlic paste

One teaspoon turmeric powder

One teaspoon chili powder

One teaspoon black pepper powder

One teaspoon coriander powder

One teaspoon cumin powder

One teaspoon garam masala

One teaspoon kasuri methi

One teaspoon Rajma Masala

Half bowl of oil

Salt according to taste

Finely chopped coriander leaves

Method of making Rajma Masala:

First of all, soak the Rajma in water overnight. In the morning, when the Rajma swells well, wash it with one or two waters. Place the cooker on the gas and when the cooker gets heated, heat it by adding half a bowl of oil. When the oil gets heated well, add a little bay leaf and dry red chilli tadka in it. When the tadka crackles, add finely chopped onion, ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.

When the onion is fried well, add finely chopped tomato and all the ground spices in it. When the spices start leaving their oil, add the rajma soaked overnight and fry it for one to two minutes. Finally, add salt according to taste and two to two glasses of water and let it whistle for 5 to 6 times. Here we have not boiled the rajma beforehand, so we will let it whistle for 5 to 6 times. By making rajma masala in this way, the taste doubles and all the spices penetrate well inside the rajma. Finally, serve it by adding finely chopped coriander leaves.
