Ingredients for making Moong Dal Halwa
250 grams moong dal
One big bowl of sugar
Half teaspoon cardamom powder
10 to 12 pistachios
10 to 12 cashews
10 to 12 almonds
Half bowl of ghee
Method of making Moong Dal Halwa:
First of all, clean the moong dal thoroughly. Soak it in water for 5 to 6 hours. When it swells well, grind it finely in a mixer.
Heat a pan on medium flame and add a bowl of ghee to it and let it heat up. As soon as it gets hot, add the ground moong dal and fry it on medium flame for 5 to 10 minutes. When it is fried well, add half a bowl of sugar to it and fry on medium flame. Add half teaspoon cardamom powder to the halwa and turn off the gas flame.
Finally, finely chop all the dry fruits and mix them well in the halwa. If you want, you can garnish the halwa with finely chopped cashews. This will enhance the taste and will give a very nice aroma.
