The iron present in rajma increases the circulation of oxygen in the body and gives strength. The high fiber and protein content of rajma is considered helpful in controlling weight. So let’s know the method of making rajma!
Ingredients required to make Rajma Masala:
One cup rajma
One small bay leaf
One green cardamom
1 inch cinnamon stick
One tablespoon cumin seeds
One tablespoon black pepper
Two finely chopped onions
Two bowls of finely chopped tomatoes
One tablespoon red chili
One tablespoon cumin powder
One tablespoon oil
Salt according to taste
Method to make Rajma Masala:
You can use rajma of any color in this recipe. But this dark red rajma is more beneficial for health.
Wash the rajma thoroughly in water and soak it in water for 6 to 7 hours. Remove excess water from the soaked rajma and put them in a cooker of two to three liters capacity. After giving three to four whistles, take out the rajma in a separate vessel.
Put the cooker on the gas again and heat 5 to 6 teaspoons of oil in it. Tadka of bay leaves and cumin seeds and add all the whole spices and let them crackle. Once the spices crackle well, add finely chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste and fry well.
When the onion turns light brown, add all the ground spices to it and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. When the oil of the spices starts separating, add finely chopped tomatoes and mix well. When the spices are fried well and oil starts appearing on the top, add boiled rajma and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add one to two glasses of water as per requirement and let it whistle twice.
