There is a big update revealed regarding the PM Surya Ghar scheme. Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has recently entered into an important agreement with Canara Bank. This partnership has been done with the aim of promoting the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. The main objective of this initiative is to attract people towards solar energy and make this scheme more affordable.
Affordable financial support to expand solar energy
Under this agreement of TPREL and Canara Bank, people will be able to get affordable financial assistance for setting up solar power systems under PM Surya Ghar Scheme. Under this scheme, loans up to Rs 2 lakh will be available for solar systems up to 3 kilowatts. Along with this, 10 percent margin money will be required. The loan will carry an interest rate of 7 per cent and a maximum tenure of 10 years.
Loans for large solar systems will increase
If someone needs a solar system ranging from 3 KW to 10 KW, then a loan of up to Rs 6 lakh will be available under this scheme. For this, 20 percent margin money will be required. The loan will carry an interest rate of 10 per cent and a maximum tenure of 10 years.
