Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana: To raise awareness about the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, the Indian Postal Department held a postal fair at the Jaynagar branch post office in recent past. During this, postal employees provided comprehensive information to the public about the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana designed for young girls. In addition to this, informational pamphlets were also handed out to the public.

During the event for villagers at the fair, Forbesganj Sub-Divisional Postal Inspector Jahangir Alam stated that the Postal Department has introduced numerous welfare programs for all, but due to insufficient information, people are unable to fully benefit from these programs. He mentioned that in this series, the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana is a significant initiative of the Postal Department. He stated that under the program, the account for a daughter aged up to 10 years will be established in the respective post office.

The scheme allows for opening an account with a minimum deposit of Rs 250. The advantage of the program will begin after 18 years have passed. At this event, Postal Inspector Umesh Prasad Bharti, Branch Postmaster Sanjay Jha, Kamal Prasad Kamal, Sameer Mishra, social worker Raman Singh, Suman Singh, Pinku Bahardar, Sarpanch Bihari Mehta, Dhananjay Bats, Shweta Kumari, Assistant Reema Devi, along with numerous others, were in attendance.
