The Federation has requested the government to reinstate the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and to make contractual employees permanent.

A recent report about 8th pay commission
As per media reports, Subhash Lamba, the National President of the All India State Government Employees Federation, announced that a national executive meeting is scheduled to take place in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh on December 28-29. The report stated, ‘A robust strategy will be developed concerning the protest during this meeting.’ Citing Lamba, the report indicated that in addition to the office bearers of the All India State Government Employees Federation, the leaders and general secretaries of the organizations from all states will take part in the meeting.
Recently, the Union Finance Ministry clarified that the government is not currently evaluating any proposals for the establishment of the Eighth Pay Commission. In reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary stated that there are currently no plans for establishing the Eighth Central Pay Commission.
