Ingredients for making Rajma Masala:
250 grams of Rajma
One bowl of finely chopped onion
One bowl of finely chopped tomato
Two tablespoons of ginger garlic paste
One teaspoon of turmeric
One teaspoon of chili
One teaspoon of coriander
One teaspoon of chaat masala
One teaspoon of powder
One teaspoon of kasuri methi
One teaspoon of Rajma masala
Half teaspoon of garam masala
Salt according to taste
Half a bowl of oil
Method of making Rajma Masala:
To make Rajma Masala, first of all we will soak the Rajma overnight. This will make the Rajma swell well and their taste will also improve. To make Rajma, put the cooker on the gas and heat half a bowl of oil. When the oil becomes hot, then add half a teaspoon of cumin seeds, two bay leaves, two small cardamoms and two big cardamoms to it. When the tadka crackles, then add finely chopped onion and ginger garlic paste and fry well.
When the onion turns light golden, add all the ground spices and finely chopped tomatoes and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. When a good aroma starts coming from the spices, add the already soaked rajma and fry on low flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Add salt according to taste and add two glasses of water and cook for 6 to 7 minutes because we did not boil the rajma before. Therefore, we will cook the rajma on medium flame otherwise the rajma will remain raw from inside.
