Weather Alert:- Western disturbance has become active in the areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, the effect of which is now being seen in the form of snowfall in the mountains and increased cold in the plains.
The severity of winter is increasing rapidly in most states. Snowfall in hilly areas has broken all records, and it is raining heavily in many areas of Uttarakhand. Given the possibility of snowfall and rain, tourists have been advised to keep away. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has warned of snowfall and rain in some places.
IMD has warned that intense cold wave conditions may occur in some parts of Himachal Pradesh on December 25. Cold may also appear on December 26. Similar weather conditions may persist in Punjab, Haryana, Jammu, Kashmir, and Chandigarh on December 25.
Dense fog alert
The Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in different areas of Bihar and Rajasthan until December 26, late at night and in the morning. Dense fog may also prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Chandigarh, Assam, Punjab, and Tripura until December 27.
Rainfall Prediction
According to the Meteorological Department’s latest bulletin, light rain with thunder and lightning may occur on December 25. It may also happen in Karaikal, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry on December 25 and 26. On December 26 and 27, sporadic rain with thunder and lightning is possible in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Skymet says light rain may occur in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today. An alert has been issued regarding rain in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Tamil Nadu, and Telangana.

Delhi has dense fog in the morning. Today, the maximum temperature is 22 degrees Celsius, but rain may increase the problem in the next three days.
