The central government and the state government keep making new schemes to make women empowered and self-reliant. Similarly, the central government has launched a scheme for women in Panipat, Haryana. This scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 9 December 2024. This scheme is going to be operated by the Life Insurance Corporation of India.
The name of this scheme is Bima Sakhi Scheme. The objective of this scheme is to empower women for insurance related work.
Benefits of Bima Sakhi Scheme
1. Women will get a salary of Rs 7000 per month.
2. Women will get new employment opportunities through this scheme.
3. Women will be given free training for digital knowledge related to work.
4. It will help women to become self-reliant.
5. Women will get a new identity in the same.
Eligibility for Bima Sakhi Yojana 2025
1. The woman must have passed at least 10th standard.
2. The age of the woman should be between 18 and 50 years.
3. The woman should be a resident of the implementing area of the scheme.
4. The woman should have experience of social work or group work at the primary level.
5. The woman should have general knowledge of smartphones and the internet.
