Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Subhadra Yojana’ aimed at empowering women in Odisha on his birthday on September 17, 2024. Meanwhile everyone is now waiting for money. Regarding this, Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi makes a big announcement.
When will the money be credited?
The second installment of the Subhadra Yojana in Odisha is set to be credited to the accounts of eligible women in March 2025, as confirmed by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday. He stated that this initiative, a key program of the Odisha BJP government, will benefit one crore women at once. Additionally, the first installment of the Subhadra Yojana will be disbursed to one crore beneficiaries in January 2025.
Named after Goddess Subhadra, the sister of Lord Jagannath, the scheme aims to leverage Jan Dhan bank accounts for its success. Over a span of five years, starting from the financial year 2024-25, eligible women will receive a total of Rs 50,000. Registration for the scheme began on September 1, and the financial assistance will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
