Sonu Sood has stepped on the big screen with his directorial debut film ‘Fateh’. In this film, not only has Sonu shown his acting prowess, but he has also strongly presented a social issue. The film combines action, emotion, and an important message. Has it lived up to the audience’s expectations? Let’s find out in this review.
The film’s story begins in Moga, a small Punjab village where Fateh (Sonu Sood) runs his small dairy. Fateh has no family and lives on rent in the house of his neighbour Nimrit (Shiv Jyoti Rajput). Nimrit helps people get loans approved, but when the villagers start getting trapped in fake loan apps, the situation gets worse.
Fed up with the atrocities of loan app kingpin Reza (Naseeruddin Shah) and his partner Satyaprakash (Vijay Raj), Nimrit goes to Delhi.
But after reaching Delhi, there is no trace of her. At Nimrit’s mother’s request, Fateh goes to Delhi to look for her. There, he meets hacker Khushi (Jacqueline Fernandez).
Will Fateh be able to find Nimrit? Will he be able to break this dangerous trap of cyber mafia? To learn more about this, you will have to watch the film.
Sonu Sood has written, produced and directed this film. Sonu has to be praised for touching a burning issue like cyber mafia. Although the story is strong, it becomes weak in some parts of the direction.
The background score and songs of the film enhance the story. Arijit Singh’s “Fateh Kar Fateh” singing is inspiring, but the audience could have expected more from it. Sonu Sood has brought life to his character.
His action and emotional scenes are intense. Experienced actors like Naseeruddin Shah and Vijay Raj did well, but their screen time was limited.
Jacqueline Fernandez’s character brings freshness to the story, but the romantic track between her and Sonu is lacking.
If you like action and films with a social message, then ‘Fateh’ will not disappoint you. The film’s story has a new sharpness, and Sonu Sood’s acting touches the heart. Although the direction and screenplay are lacking, the film entertains and teaches both.
Fateh is an effort that entertains and draws attention to a serious issue. Sonu Sood has given action and a message of improving society through this film. This film is worth it.
