India’s number-1 electric car, MG ZS EV has won the title of Indian Green Car of the Year 2025. It has also left behind companies like BMW and BYD in this category. BMW i5 stood second in this category and BYD Seal third.
This is MG’s first win in ICOTY. MG ZS EV scored 157 points, while BMW i5 scored 99 and BYD Seal scored 87 points. Let us tell you that since its launch, it has remained the number one electric car in the Indian market.
MG ZS EV prices increased
The company has increased the prices of all Excite, Exclusive, and Essence variants of this electric car. Its price has increased by about ₹ 50,000. The old price of Excite was ₹ 13.50 lakh, which has now become ₹ 14 lakh. The price of Exclusive was ₹ 14.50 lakh, which has now become ₹ 15 lakh. At the same time, the price of Essence was ₹ 15.50 lakh, which has now increased to ₹ 16 lakh.
Talking about its battery subscription plan, earlier its price was ₹ 3.50 lakh, which has increased to ₹ 3.90 lakh. In such a situation, now the new ex-showroom price of Excite is ₹ 9.99 lakh, the new ex-showroom price of Exclusive is ₹ 10.99 lakh and the new ex-showroom price of Essence is ₹ 11.99 lakh. All these prices have come into effect.
Great features of MG ZS EV
It can be purchased in 3 variants. It has a 38kWh battery pack, which gives a range of 332Km. It has a single FWD motor that generates 134bhp and 200Nm.
The top-spec variants get features like level-2 ADAS, climate control with rear AC vents, dual digital screens, ventilated front seats, panoramic glass roof, 360-degree camera, and a very comprehensive connected car suite.

This electric car has a noise controller, Jio apps connectivity in multiple languages, TPMS, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, and a full LED light. It has a great seatback option, which can be electrically reclined up to 135 degrees. Its ex-showroom prices range from ₹ 13.50 lakh to ₹ 15.50 lakh. It has also outperformed the Tata Curve EV and Mahindra XUV400 in its segment.
