Budget 2025: The working class and farmers expect a lot from the entire budget to be presented by the central government on February 1. They predicted the annual amount received through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojanawill would increase. According to some sources, the annual number of farmers will rise from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000.

All the farmers registered with the scheme will benefit from this. From the morning of the budget day, all eyes will be on the treasure coming out of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s suitcase. However, no one has said anything officially yet.

What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, started by the central government on December 1, 2018, assists small farmers. Under the scheme, the government provides Rs 6,000 in three annual instalments of Rs 2,000. The interval between sending the amount for each instalment is four months.

The money for the next instalment can be released in the first week of February. The benefit of the instalment is available only to those farmers who have completed the e-KYC work. If you have got e-KYC done, you can take advantage of the 19th instalment, which will be a significant gift.

Do you know why there is a need to increase the instalment amount?

Rs 6000 is given annually under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Farmer organizations do not consider this amount sufficient for fertilizers and seeds. They demand that the scheme’s instalment amount be increased to at least double. There is also a discussion that the government is considering expanding the amount to Rs 10,000. But nothing has been said officially yet.

All eyes are on the budget

The central government will present its general budget on February 1, 2025, which everyone watches. If the government increases the instalment amount, then after receiving financial relief, the rural economy will also be strengthened. The announcement of this decision in Budget 2025 can significantly change millions of farmers’ lives.
