Kia’s Auto Expo 2025: Kia will showcase its two major new cars Kia Syros compact SUV and EV6 facelift at the upcoming Auto Expo 2025. Kia Syros made its global debut last month and will make its first public presentation at this event. Along with this, the EV9 flagship SUV will also be showcased, which is already available for sale. Apart from this, Kia’s existing models Carnival MPV and EV9 electric SUV will also be seen at this event.
Kia Syros
Kia compact SUV Syros is Kia’s second compact SUV after Sonet, which focuses especially on the comfort of the rear seats. It has features like a long wheelbase, a tallboy design, and segment-first features like sliding and reclining rear seats, as well as ventilation for seat squabs.
Design
The Syros’ design is inspired by the EV9, but there are different opinions about its styling. Its profile looks similar to the old Skoda Yeti.
Kia EV6 Facelift
The EV6 facelift has a new front fascia, sharp and angular lighting elements, a new front bumper, and a lower grille design.
Interiors
The interiors have received technical updates such as a digital rear-view mirror, a new two-spoke steering wheel, an improved head-up display, and an AI-based navigation system.
Battery and performance
The EV6 facelift will now have an 84kWh battery, which has increased the range to 494 km (earlier it was 475 km). It will get 229hp power in the rear-wheel drive version and 325hp in the dual motor version. It also gets frequency-selective dampers to improve ride comfort. The Kia EV6 is expected to be launched in the Indian market in 2025.
Kia EV9 Flagship SUV
The Kia EV9, which was launched in October 2024, is the company’s largest and most premium electric SUV. Its length is over 5 meters and its impressive look makes it a flagship vehicle. It has a 6-seater layout, with the second-row seats being captain chairs.
Battery and Performance
The EV9 has a 99.8kWh battery, which powers dual motors, producing a total power of 384hp. It has an ARAI-certified range of 561 km. It is priced starting at ₹1.30 crore (ex-showroom) and is sold in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit).
Kia’s participation at Auto Expo 2025 will be a big attraction, where the company will showcase its new technologies and steps towards electric mobility.
