Good news for pilgrims of Mahakumbh. Indian Railways is gearing up for the Maha Kumbh 2025 by increasing the number of trains heading to Prayagraj. A significant number of special trains have been arranged for this important event, and it’s essential for you to be aware of the details.

The government plans to operate 13,000 special trains for the Kumbh, and we’ll highlight some key routes. If you’re traveling to Kumbh from Jhansi, there are trains available on the Jhansi-Govindpuri-Prayagraj-Manikpur-Chitrakoot-Jhansi route.

Another route includes Prayagraj-Ayodhya-Varanasi-Prayagraj, allowing you to visit Kumbh via Ayodhya and Varanasi. Additionally, there are arrangements for travel from Sangam Prayag to Jaunpur, following the route: Prayagraj-Sangam Prayag-Jaunpur-Prayag-Prayagraj.

For those coming from Govindpuri, the route is Govindpuri-Prayagraj-Chitrakoot-Govindpuri. Furthermore, train services from Azamgarh include train number 7708, and train 7711 will depart at 5:50 PM. Train 7719 is scheduled to leave for Guntur on January 25 at 2:20 PM, while train 7726 will depart from Patna to Kacheguda at 11 AM.

Additionally, trains are now running from Bandra Terminus to Prayagraj. Train 05054 will leave Bandra Terminus every Saturday at 9:20 PM, arriving in Gorakhpur on Monday morning at 6:45 AM. Conversely, train 05053 will depart from Gorakhpur every Friday at 7:50 AM, reaching Bandra Terminus the following day at 6:00 PM. Lastly, the Kumbh special train 09801 will operate from Kota to Banaras starting January 17 from Sogaria railway station.
