Passport: The procedure for obtaining a passport has been significantly simplified for the residents of Noida. The Ghaziabad Regional Passport Office has introduced a mobile passport van that will travel to various locations within the city to offer passport services to the public. This initiative is particularly advantageous for individuals who find it challenging to visit the passport office or have limited time available.

There was only one passport office

Previously, there was only one passport office situated in Ghaziabad, serving both the local population and residents from 11 neighboring districts who submitted their passport applications there. It has been common for applicants to make multiple trips to the office in case of any errors in their applications.

Introduction of the mobile van

Therefore, the introduction of the mobile van is a considerable relief. Currently, the van is stationed at the Indian Coast Guard campus in Sector 24, where it is processing passport applications for Coast Guard personnel and their families.

This service will be operational from February 18 to 20. So far, 60 applications have been received, and the officer anticipates an increase in submissions in the coming days. Regional Passport Officer Anuj Swaroop indicated that the van will be dispatched to various government institutions, schools, and colleges where there is a demand for passport services. This initiative will provide citizens with a more convenient means of accessing passport services.

Additionally, a passport service center is available at the post office in Sector 19 of Noida, where residents can also easily apply for their passports.
