Some important rules for ration card
- The most important rule of 2025 is KYC for ration card.
- Ration card without KYC will be deactivated by the Ministry of Food Security.
- Apart from this, ration card holders will also have to link their bank account information with the ration card.
- For those ration card holders who have not got food grain slips made, it will be mandatory to get food grain slips made.
- Now food grains will not be available without the presence of a family member.
Why is Ration Card KYC necessary?
KYC rules for ration card have been issued by the government because after KYC the eligibility of the ration card holder will be completely clear. Only those ration card holders will be given the benefit of ration card further who will be found eligible on the basis of KYC, apart from this the ration card of ineligible ration card holders will be deactivated.

- The applicant should be a citizen of India.
- Apart from this, the age of the applicant should be more than 18 years.
- There should not be any personal property or bank balance in the name of the applicant.
- He is living below the poverty line or below it.
- He should be the head of the family and any member of his family should be posted on a government job.
