Health is very important in everyone’s life. Over time, treatment costs have increased, making it difficult for financially weak people to afford medical care. To help them, the Modi government launched the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible families receive free treatment up to ₹5 lakh. Currently, this scheme is not available in the country’s capital, but it will soon be implemented in Delhi.

Bharatiya Janata Party’s Promise

Before the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) promised in its manifesto that if they won, the Ayushman Bharat scheme would be implemented in the capital. The party also announced that citizens aged 60 years and above in Delhi would receive free treatment up to ₹10 lakh.

Now that the BJP government has been formed in Delhi, people are eagerly waiting for the registration of Ayushman Bharat Yojana to begin soon.
