Electric Scooter: Greaves Electric Mobility (GEML), a subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Limited, has unveiled a new electric scooter in the automotive sector. The Ampere Magnus Neo has been introduced to the Indian market as an upgraded version of the Magnus EX. This latest model promises enhanced power and performance, emphasizing increased strength, safety, and cost efficiency.
Demonstrated its capabilities by successfully traveling over 2000 km
The official launch is set to take place at the Auto Expo 2025. Prior to its release, the scooter has demonstrated its capabilities by successfully traveling over 2000 km from Bangalore to Delhi.
Features and specifications
It features a premium dual-tone finish and is available in five color options: red, white, blue, gray, and glossy black. The scooter boasts a top speed of 65 km/h and offers improved torque compared to its predecessor. It is equipped with 12-inch alloy wheels for enhanced durability and stability, along with a battery warranty covering 75,000 km or five years.
Safety features
In terms of safety, the scooter utilizes a lithium-ion phosphate battery and incorporates cutting-edge technology. It offers three riding modes, including a reverse mode, and is designed with smart and comfort features for family riders. The electric scooter provides a range of 100 km on a single charge, and a notable feature is its portable battery support, complemented by a USB port. The battery can be fully charged within 5 to 6 hours. The starting ex-showroom price for this electric scooter is set at Rs 79,999, and it will be available at all Empire dealerships, with sales commencing in January 2025.
On this occasion, Kunnakavil Vijaya Kumar, the company’s Executive Director and CEO, stated that the launch aligns with their vision of promoting electric mobility on every street, highlighting the advanced technology integrated into the new scooter.
