Citroen C3: French automaker Citroen has started a new chapter in its marketing strategy in India. The company recently launched the Basalt Coupe SUV at an attractive price starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, the C3 hatchback is going for a major makeover in August 2024. Let’s take a closer look.
2024 Citroen C3 Launched
Automaker Citroen launched the C3 hatchback in India as a luxury car in its segment. Citroën later launched the Shine model along with the C3 hatchback with some major updates. Now, in August 2024, Citroën has updated its C3 hatchback with a few new features and it is quite a welcome update.
We hope Citroën does not hike the prices with the latest update as the C3 hatchback is supposed to have these features right from the start. The prices of the 2024 Citroen C3 start from Rs 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Live PureTech 82 MT model and go up to Rs 9.42 lakh (ex-showroom).
Interestingly, Citroën has yet to announce the price of the C3 Shine PureTech 110 AT version, which comes with a 6-speed ‘automatic’ torque converter transmission. It is noteworthy that Citroën has removed the turbo petrol option from the Feel equipment package.
Additional new features of the 2024 Citroën C3 include LED projector headlights, 6 airbags, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 6 airbags (only in the thoughtful and bright finishes), automatic climate control air conditioning system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster (and finally the C3 gauge) and an electrically foldable ORVI.
What’s available?
Citroën has also fixed some of the ergonomic issues that the C3 has had since its launch. The main reason for this is the positioning of the electric window controls. Moreover, the C3 hatchback still lacks important features. Its price is on par with luxury cars like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Xterra. It produces 82 PS and 115 Nm of torque. The PureTech 110 comes with 6-speed MT (190 Nm) and 6-speed AT (205 Nm) transmissions and can produce up to 110 PS of power.
