Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024: The fourth generation Maruti Suzuki Swift has been launched in the Indian market, with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs 6.49 lakh and going up to Rs 9.65 lakh. Compared to the previous model, the new Swift gets an evolutionary design.

more features extra safety features and a more efficient 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. The prices of the new Maruti hatchback are now Rs 25,000 to Rs 37,000 higher than before.

Price and competition

The new Swift LXI MT is priced at Rs 6.49 lakh, VXI MT is priced at Rs 7.30 lakh, VXI AMT is priced at Rs 7.80 lakh, VXI (0) MT is priced at Rs 7.57 lakh, VXI (0) AMT is priced at Rs 8.07 lakh, ZXI MT is priced at Rs 8.30 lakh, ZXI AMT is priced at Rs 8.80 lakh, ZXI+ MT is priced at Rs 9.00 lakh and ZXI+ AMT is priced at Rs 9.50 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). While for its dual tone option, you will have to pay Rs 15,000 extra.

The ex-showroom prices of Swift’s main competitors Tata Tiago and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios start at Rs 5.65 lakh and Rs 5.92 lakh respectively. while the starting prices of the new Swift are slightly higher.

While the range-topping petrol-automatic versions of these hatchbacks from Tata and Hyundai are priced at Rs 7.95 lakh and Rs 8.56 lakh respectively. which is much less than the new range-topping Swift variant.

The design language of the new Swift is similar to the current model, but some major changes have been made to it, including a new front bumper. new design radiator grille. new shape headlights and fog lights. traditional rear door handles.

new alloy wheel design and new tail-lamps with C-shaped pattern. Although the wheelbase of the new Swift is the same as its previous model at 2,450 mm. the new hatchback is 15 mm longer, 40 mm less wide and 30 mm taller.

Look and color options

The new Maruti Suzuki Swift is available in nine exterior color options including three dual-tone paints and two new blue and red colors. Maruti is also offering Racing Roadstar and Thrill Chaser accessory packages with the Swift.

Racing Roadstar features sporty cosmetic changes on the outside and inside. while the Thrill Chaser features Maruti with energetic exterior and attractive interior styling changes. The new Maruti Swift is more upmarket and features enhanced features.

Interior and Features

The interior of the new Swift looks more premium than the outgoing model’s cabin, and features a larger ‘floating’ 9-inch infotainment touchscreen that takes centre stage on the new textured dash. The seats get new fabric upholstery across the range, restyled central air-con vents, new HVAC switchgear and an updated analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID.

The top-spec Swift ZXI+ gets all the above mentioned features. The entry-level Swift LXI is also more feature-rich this time around, with standard safety kits such as six airbags. ISOFIX anchors, rear parking sensors. ABS with EBD and ESC. Hill start assist. however is only available with the automatic variants.
