2026 Toyota RAV4: A glimpse of the 2026 Toyota RAV4 has surfaced via Instagram. This design resembles the real RAV4 seen during testing in Michigan recently and suggests that it will look almost the same when it is launched. The front, grille, and perhaps bumper, wheel arches – everything is similar to the real model.
However, the vehicle seen in the spy pictures shows a more traditional roofline, large three-quarter windows, less curved rear pillars, and a toned-down design at the rear. The wheels may not be like the real ones, but overall it is a stylish package.
Interior glimpse, high-tech features expected
Spy photographers also got a little glimpse of the interior. Nothing much could be seen due to the dashboard panel being covered in black camouflage. Nevertheless, it seems that the upcoming Toyota RAV4 will have a freestanding infotainment system, and look similar to the current model. Better quality materials and improvements in ADAS are also expected.
Performance and Powertrain
The familiar TNGA platform will be used, and the next-gen Toyota RAV4 is expected to have a much better ride. The Japanese automaker is planning to improve its popular crossover in every aspect. The 2026 RAV4 is believed to launch only with a hybrid powertrain, probably with standard FWD and optional AWD, which could also have a motor at the rear. However, regular gasoline engines may also join the lineup, but probably for different markets.
Electric Avatar Too
Apart from self-charging and plug-in hybrid options and gasoline variants, the 2026 Toyota RAV4 could also give birth to a battery-electric derivative. However, this is not confirmed yet. Likely, the US lineup will only have partially electrified powertrains.
When will it be launched
The official unveiling date of the car is still a mystery, as Toyota has not announced it yet. Unofficial data suggests that the next-generation RAV4 could be introduced later this year. By the time it reaches our market and starts arriving at dealers, it will probably be a 2026 model. Prices are expected to increase across the range, as the current 2025MY starts at $28,850 for the regular variant, $31,900 for the hybrid, and $43,865 for the plug-in hybrid.
