Volvo XC90 Facelift: Volvo has officially announced the introduction of its upgraded premium SUV, the XC90 Facelift, in India. The vehicle is set to debut in the Indian market on March 4, 2025. This facelift model features several design and technological enhancements, while its technical specifications remain unchanged.
Notable updates include a new chrome grille and sleek LED headlights designed in the Thor-hammer style, complete with daytime running lights (DRLs). The redesigned bumper contributes to a refreshed appearance for the SUV. Additionally, it will be equipped with 21-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and body-colored outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs). At the rear, a chrome strip and newly styled LED taillights will be present.
Features and technology
The interior of the XC90 facelift is crafted from high-quality, eco-friendly materials, maintaining the 7-seater configuration. It will feature a dual-tone color scheme and a three-spoke steering wheel. The seats will be upholstered in leather, incorporating sustainable materials. To enhance the XC90’s appeal as a feature-rich SUV, it will include numerous advanced technologies. Key features comprise a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, a heads-up display (HUD), ventilated and massage seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a four-zone automatic climate control system.
Regarding safety, the forthcoming facelift model will be equipped with multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, hill start and descent control, an electronic parking brake, level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, and park assist.
Engine options
The powertrain options include a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine featuring 48V mild-hybrid technology, producing 250 PS of power and 360 Nm of torque. Alternatively, a plug-in hybrid variant of the same engine will deliver 455 PS of power and 709 Nm of torque.
Price yet to disclose
While the pricing for the Volvo XC90 facelift has yet to be disclosed, it is anticipated to be approximately Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom).
