Honda Activa is India’s most popular scooter and now it is going to come in CNG version as well. There is a lot of excitement about this new model as it will be much more economical than petrol. Activa CNG will have the two small CNG tanks which will be fitted in the front storage box area. This scooter is expected to get a range of up to 100 km. Let’s know about this new Activa CNG in detail.

Activa CNG is expected to give great mileage. According to reports, this scooter can give a mileage of 80 km/kg. The two CNG tanks will have a total capacity of 1.2 kg CNG, which can give a range of about 100 km. This is much more than the petrol version.

Design and Features

The design of the Activa CNG will be similar to the current petrol model. However, due to the CNG tank being fitted in the front storage box, the storage space will be reduced. The scooter will have the facility of self-start. Its length is 1761 mm and its width is 697 mm.

Price

The price of Honda Activa CNG has not been announced yet. But it is estimated that its price may be around Rs 15,000 more than the current petrol model. The CNG kit will be made by a separate company Lovato and will be certified by ARAI. The scooter is expected to be launched by the end of this year.

Safety Features

The CNG kit will be certified by ARAI so it will be safe. However, the weight of the scooter increases due to the CNG tank, which may slightly affect the handling. Taking turns at low speeds and driving at high speeds can be a bit tricky.
