Audi Q8 facelift: Audi India on Thursday launched the Audi Q8 facelift SUV in the Indian market. The company has fixed its starting price at Rs 1.17 crore (ex-showroom). The Audi Q8 has a special place in the product portfolio in the luxury car.

Not only because it is a flagship SUV, but also because of its extremely sporty styling, powerful drive experience and comparatively luxurious cabin. These are the features that Audi says they have improved even more in the Q8 facelift.

Engine power

The Audi Q8 SUV gets a 3-litre TFSI petrol engine. The car is mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox. This engine generates 340 bhp of power and 500 Nm of torque. The 48V mild-hybrid system also works to enhance emission control as well as ensure slightly better fuel efficiency.

How is the look and design

The latest Audi Q8 features a large trapezoidal grille. Which comes with a black colour scheme. It has a 2D Audi logo, a larger air dam, an all-new headlamp with matrix technology. It also comes with an updated rear profile.

Interior and features

Talks about the interior of car, the Q8 has retained its special Audi car. And this is still one of its special strengths. The layout has not been tampered with much. And the dual-screen setup in the middle – one for infotainment and the other to control the air-conditioning function – has also been retained. The quality of materials inside the vehicle is generally of top quality, as Audi has to maintain the standard of its flagship SUV. However, in terms of the feature list, the Q8 is now even better equipped. The features list includes Bang & Olufsen-sourced music system, ventilated front seats, ADAS and ambient lighting system.

Competition

The Audi Q8 competes with some very powerful vehicles in the Indian market like the Mercedes GLS, BMW X7 and Volvo XC90. All these models will now also have to compete with the growing group of battery-powered vehicles.
