Two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj is going to launch a new version of the Chetak electric scooter on the 20 December 2024. It has recently been spotted during the testing ahead of launch. It is likely to be a more affordable variant of the current Chetak. Recently it has been spotted, in which some of its design details have been revealed. Let’s know its details in detail.
Bajaj Chetak seen in testing
Bajaj Chetak has recently been spotted during the testing, which was completely covered. Retro design is seen in its testing mule. The design of the Chetak is quite clear. No major changes are being expected in its dimensions and the styling.
It has a round LED headlamp, curved body panels, and an embossed rear profile similar to the old model. It may differ in terms of the feature list, hardware, and output figures. But, whether it can make it an affordable Chetak trim remains to be seen.
The upcoming Chetak runs on alloy wheels. It has dual drum brakes. Apart from this, it comes with a locking glove box, which can be seen in the more expensive Chetak model. It has a physical ignition key slot on the right-hand side instead of a keyless system. Even the console is likely to be a monochrome LCD to further reduce costs.
Range around 100 km
At present, the details of the battery range and the motor output have not been revealed yet. But, it can be expected that it can have a top speed of about 70 km per hour. Its range can be around the 100 km or less.
