This scooter will get a new chassis and bigger boot space. However, its design will be similar to the existing model. Not only this, its price can also be similar to the existing model.
It is believed that with the new generation of Bajaj Chetak, the company wants to make it even better. These days competitors like Ather Rizza, Ola S1, and TVS iQube are offering bigger spaces in their e-scooters. Bajaj wants to bring Chetak to par with them in terms of these features. To do this, the company has designed the new chassis, which will move the battery pack unit under the floorboard. So that it gets more boot space.
Changes in the new battery pack design can also increase its performance. In this way, it can get a long range. Bajaj Chetak presently offers the claimed of the IDC range between 123 to 137Km depending on the model type. Other things about the scooter are likely to remain the same as before, including the design. It can be launched in mid-December. Its ex-showroom price can be between Rs 96,000 to Rs 1.29 lakh.
The company has sold more than 3 lakh electric scooters
Bajaj Chetak electric scooter has crossed the sales figure of 3 lakh units in the Indian market. Since its launch in January 2020, Chetak has sold a total of 3,03,621 units as per SIAM wholesale data for the two-wheeler industry till October 2024. Bajaj Chetak electric scooter has the highest monthly shipment in October 2024. It has taken almost 5 years for Bajaj Chetak to reach this milestone.
