Bajaj Auto has surprised its customer base by ceasing production of three of its motorcycle models. The announcement has left many in disbelief. At the start of the year, Bajaj Auto discontinued the Pulsar F250, Platina 110 ABS, and CT 125X, all of which enjoyed considerable popularity.

Avarage price ranges of these 3 bikes

In terms of pricing, the Pulsar F250 was approximately Rs. 1.5 lakh, the CT 125X was priced at Rs. 73,000, and the Platina 110 ABS was around Rs. 79,000. Although the company has not provided an official explanation for this decision, it is widely speculated that the discontinuation is a result of unsatisfactory sales figures.

Two models are classified as daily commuter bikes

Notably, two of these models are classified as commuter bikes. It is worth mentioning that the Platina 110 ABS was the first in its category to feature a single-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). The CT125X was also recognized for its robustness within the 125cc segment; however, its sales performance was underwhelming, leading to its discontinuation.

Pulsar 220F also faced difficulties

Additionally, the Pulsar 220F, another well-regarded model, faced similar sales challenges, resulting in its removal from the market. The Pulsar brand remains highly regarded in India, with offerings ranging from 125cc to 400cc.

It is widely considered that the decision made by Bajaj is vital for the Indian automobile market. The Indian automobile market is largely reliant on daily commuter 2-wheelers. But the discontinuation has indicated that the Indian consumers not only are looking for low price range options but also other updated features in their vehicles. As we know, time has changed. There are many daily commuter bikes on the present market at a low price range and with modern technology.
