Bajaj N160: Bajaj Auto has introduced a new single-seat version of its well-loved Pulsar N160 motorcycle. This family-friendly model aims to attract a fresh segment of customers. Priced approximately Rs 10,000 lower than the standard base variant, it offers an economical option. The only notable modification is the replacement of the split seats with a single-piece seat, while the rear grab rail has been upgraded to a sturdier single-piece design, ideal for accommodating additional passengers when necessary.
The single-piece seat promises comfort
Bajaj has a history of adapting its products to meet customer needs, as seen with the Bajaj Freedom CNG bike, which features an extended seat. This same customer-centric philosophy appears to be at play with the Pulsar N160. The single-piece seat promises comfort for both the rider and the passenger, with a scooped front section designed for added ease during longer rides.
Features
The Pulsar N160 single-seat variant is equipped with standard 37mm telescopic forks in the front and a Nitrox monoshock suspension at the rear. It features 300 mm and 230 mm disc brakes at the front and rear, respectively. However, this variant comes with single-channel ABS, unlike the standard model that includes dual-channel ABS. The bike boasts a ground clearance of 165 mm and a 14-liter fuel tank, with a seat height of 795 mm.
Under the hood, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is powered by a 164.82 cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, 2-valve, air-cooled engine, delivering 16 PS and 14.65 Nm of torque, paired with a constant mesh 5-speed gearbox. It showcases a bi-functional LED projector headlamp with LED DRLs, an LED tail lamp featuring a glitter pattern, and halogen turn indicators. Additionally, it comes with a digital console that includes Bluetooth support and a host of other features.
