China’s automobile company Bestune Brand launched its new small electric car last year. This car made a lot of headlines as soon as it was launched. The real reason for this was the strong range of this car along with being cheap. The company has developed battery-related technology that charges quickly and gives more range.

With this technology, the company launched Xiaomi. The price of Bestune Xiaomi is between 30,000 to 50,000 yuan (about Rs 3.47 lakh to Rs 5.78 lakh). With this car, the company wants to increase its share in the micro-EV segment.

FAW Bestune Xiaomi will compete directly with Wuling Hongguang Mini EV. The demand for microelectric cars is the highest in China. Now it is being awaited in the Indian market.

It is expected that it will soon be brought to the Indian market as well. The company may clear the way for its entry into the Indian market this year. It will compete directly with Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.

Features and Specifications of Xiaomi Electric Car

This car has been introduced in both hardtop and convertible variants. At present, the hardtop variant is being sold. It is not decided whether the convertible variant will be brought for sale in the future. This car also has a touchscreen infotainment, which is a 7-inch unit.

An attractive dual-tone theme is available in the dashboard. Shaoma has a dual-tone color scheme, which looks straight out of an animation film. It has large square headlamps with rounded edges for a more attractive profile. Shaoma uses aerodynamic wheels that can be useful in increasing the range.

The Bestune Sharma is based on the FME platform. It includes an EV and range extender dedicated chassis. Earlier, a ride-hailing EV named NAT was built on this platform. The FME platform has two A1 and A2 sub-platforms. The A1 sub-platform caters to subcompacts and compacts that have a wheelbase of 2700-2850 mm.

The A2 is used for cars with a wheelbase of 2700-3000 mm. The range is over 800Km for the EV and 1200Km for the Extender. Both platforms support 800 V architecture. Powering the micro-EV is a single 20 kW electric motor. It is placed on the rear shaft.

The battery used is a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) unit, supplied by Goshan and REPT. In terms of safety, Bestune Xiaomi gets a driver-side airbag. It has 3 floors. Bestune Xiaomi is 3000mm long, 1510mm wide and 1630mm high. Its wheelbase is 1,953mm.
