Citroen C3: French carmaker Citroen has started a new phase of its strategy for its operations in the Indian market. The company recently launched the Basalt Coupe SUV with a very attractive price tag, starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Now the C3 hatchback has undergone major changes in August 2024. 2024 Citroen C3 Launch
Citroen has launched the C3 hatchback in India with many features in the car. Along with the C3 hatchback, Citroen has introduced the Shine variant with some important feature updates. The 2024 Citroen C3 price starts at Rs 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Live PureTech 82 MT variant and goes up to Rs 9.42 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Shine Turbo DT + Vibe.
Citroen has not yet revealed the prices of the C3 Shine PureTech 110 AT variant, which gets a 6-speed ‘automatic’ torque converter gearbox.
New features added to the 2024 Citroen C3 include LED projector headlights, 6 airbags, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 6 airbags (offered only with Feel and Shine trims), an automatic climate control AC system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and electronically folding ORVMs.
What else does it get?
Citroen has also fixed some ergonomic quirks that remained with the C3 since launch. The main reason for this is the position of the power window controls. Apart from these, the C3 hatchback still lacks key features. It is not priced well when compared to feature-rich vehicles like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Xcent.
The eC3 has received a 0 star Global NCAP crash safety rating, which is positioned on the same CMP skateboard as the C3. The powertrains are the same. The PureTech 82 only has a 5-speed MT gearbox. It generates 82PS of power and 115Nm of torque. The PureTech 110 has 6-speed MT (190 Nm) and 6-speed AT (205 Nm) gearbox options and has 110 PS of power.
