BSA Gold Star 650: Classic Legends revived the legendary BSA brand in the UK by introducing the Gold Star 650 in late 2021. The BSA Gold Star 650 is set to make its debut in the Indian market tomorrow on Independence Day.

The motorcycle, which has been exported from India to Europe and the United Kingdom, has received a positive response in international markets. The BSA brand, which dates back to 1861, was acquired by the Mahindra Group in 2018 and will now make its Indian debut.

Talking about dimension, then the Gold Star 650 rides on 41mm telescopic front forks and twin shocks at the rear. It rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels.

Both are shod with Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres, which are known for their grip and durability. Braking duties are managed by single discs at both the front and rear, supported by a Continental-sourced dual-channel ABS system.

Talking about features, then the BSA Gold Star is equipped with a simple twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster and modern features such as dual-channel ABS, a USB charger, and a slipper clutch. The bike holds the ground using 18-inch front and 17-inch rear tyres.

Talking about engine, then this retro-inspired roadster combines classic design with contemporary technology and is powered by a 652 cc single-cylinder DOHC 4V liquid-cooled engine. This powertrain generates 45 bhp and 55 Nm of peak torque. With the success of the Gold Star 650 in other countries, making a big impact with it in India is the next strategic step for the brand.

Talking about price, then the BSA Gold Star will starts at a price of Rs 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 3.21 lakh (ex-showroom).

BSA Gold Star 650 Competition

Talking about competition, then despite being a single-cylinder motorcycle, it is set to compete directly with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Especially in terms of styling and performance, it will compete with the Interceptor 650. The exterior design of the engine reflects the classic look of the vintage Gold Star, which combines old-fashioned beauty with modern engineering.
