Electric Car: The first on the list is JSW MG Motor’s Windsor EV. This British-origin carmaker will launch its third electric car in India two days from now i.e. on September 11. The Windsor EV will be placed between the Comet EV and ZS EV in the company’s India lineup.
It is expected to get a 50.6 kWh battery pack and a range of about 460 km on a single charge. It will get great features like a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, airline-type rear seats with 135-degree reclining function and a panoramic sunroof.
Kia EV9: It is set to enter the Indian market on October 3. It is expected that the company will launch the new generation Carnival MPV on the same day. Initially it is expected to be imported for the Indian market and it will be available in only one variant.
It will give a range of about 434 km on a single charge. With 379 bhp and 700 Nm output, it is going to be equipped with features like Level-3 ADAS. Kia EV9 is also going to be the most expensive electric car of the auto giant till date.
Maruti eVX: People are eagerly waiting for Maruti’s first electric car. The carmaker first showcased the eVX in concept form at the Auto Expo last year. Over the last 18 months, the eVX concept has moved closer to its production form.
It is now expected to be launched early next year. Maruti’s first electric car is likely to be equipped with a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Its driving range will be close to 500 km.
Tata Harrier EV: Tata Motors is currently one of the largest electric car manufacturers in the country. The company is planning to further increase its lead and offering. One of the most awaited launches is the Harrier EV, which is planned to be launched soon.
It will retain the design from the ICE model with minor changes. The Harrier EV is expected to have at least two battery options and motor options. It is expected to get an estimated range of over 500 km with an all-wheel-drive setup.
