How will the powertrain be?

Mahindra Thar 5-door is expected to get a 2 liter turbo petrol engine and a 2.2 liter diesel engine. The new Thar will also come with manual and automatic transmission options and a 6-speed gearbox. Initially, this car will be available only in 4×4 (FWD) variant, but later its 4×2 (RWD) variant can also be launched, as was done with the second generation Thar.
