Design

The Hero Xoom 125R is a sporty scooter. However, it takes a lot of design elements from its younger brother Xoom 110. Apart from this, there is a lot of difference in the dimensions of the scooter. At the front we can see LED headlamps with DRL elements and even the turn indicators are smartly placed.

The floorboard seems quite large and there are a lot of cuts and folds in the side profile. Apart from this, many colors have been given on the body panel. The thick exhaust and the smooth rear section have further enhanced the overall appeal of this two-wheeler.

Powertrain

The sporty Zoom 125R will be powered by a 124.6cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 9.4 bhp and 10.16 Nm of peak torque. According to the company, it will use a CVT gearbox. These numbers are somewhat similar to the base spec TVS Ntorq 125.

Specifications

The Hero Zoom 125R will be based on a steel frame, using conventional telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Running on 14-inch wheels on both sides, this scooter will have a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the rear. The Zoom 125R will weigh around 120 kg.

 Features

The Zoom 125R is expected to be at par with its competitors with LED lighting setup, digital instrument cluster, turn indicators, smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth and other features.

Expected Price and Launch Timeline

The Hero Zoom 125R, which will rival the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Dio 125 and Suzuki Avensis, is expected to be priced starting at around Rs 80,000 ex-showroom. It will most likely be launched around the festive season by the end of the year 2024.
