Derived from the XPulse 200 4V Rally Pro
The Dakar edition is derived from the XPulse 200 4V Rally Pro but showcases a fresh paint design inspired by the Dakar Rally. It includes sporty black and red graphics on the lower tank and side panels, along with the Dakar Rally logo prominently displayed on both sides of the fuel tank.
Price
Aside from these aesthetic updates, the motorcycle remains unchanged. The Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition is priced at Rs 1,67,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and stands as the top variant in the XPulse 200 4V series. While it does not have a direct competitor, it faces competition in the adventure bike segment from premium models such as the Suzuki V-Strom SX, KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure, and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
Specifications and features
According to the company’s official website, the Hero XPulse 200 4V Dakar Edition is equipped with a new 60mm tall rally-style windshield and a class-D LED projector headlamp with LED DRLs, similar to the Pro variant. Additionally, it features an updated luggage plate, handguards, and a USB charging port.
The Hero XPulse 200 4V Dakar Edition is powered by the same 199.6cc single valve oil-cooled BS6 4V engine found in other variants, producing a maximum power of 18.8bhp at 8000rpm and a peak torque of 17.35Nm at 6500rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox and is compliant with OBD-2 standards, as well as compatible with E-20 petrol.
The road mode is optimized for dry conditions, while the off-road mode reduces ABS power, enhancing performance on sandy, gravelly, and hilly terrains. In rally mode, ABS is completely disabled, and it is noteworthy that this model features only a single-channel ABS mode.
