Honda has recently unveiled its first electric scooter Activa-e. But the company has not disclosed its price and booking. But now it has been learned that the Activa Electric scooter will be launched at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025 and its booking can be opened from January 1, 2025.
While its delivery will start in February. Activa Electric will compete directly with Vida V2, Bajaj Chetak 2903, Ola S1 X, and TVS i-Cube. Honda Activa Electric can be purchased in Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matte Foggy Silver Metallic, and Pearl Igneous Black color options.
Battery and Range
Honda Activa Electric will be offered with 2 portable battery packs of 1.5kWh, which will provide a range of 102 km. It can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 7.3 seconds and the maximum speed is 80 kmph. For performance, a mounted electric motor has been provided on the side of the rear wheel, which generates 8 hp power and 22 Nm torque.
The company claims that it can catch the speed of 0-60 kmph in just 7.3 seconds. It will get 3 riding modes Econ, Standard and Sport. A home charger will be provided with it, which can fully charge the battery in 6:50 hours and charge up to 80% in 4:30 hours.
Expected price
Honda Activa Electric will be produced at the Narasapura factory near Bangalore and will initially be sold in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Its starting price can be around Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom). Talking about the features, the Activa electric scooter can get features like 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a flat footboard, a single-piece dual-tone seat, all-LED lighting, and a grab handle.
Apart from this, the scooter will be equipped with a 7-inch color TFT instrument console, which will provide connectivity to navigation and Honda RoadSync Duo app. It will also have features like Smart Find, Smart Safe, Smart Unlock, and Smart Start.
You will get the benefit of the Battery as a Service program
Honda will start the Battery as a Service program with the new Activa electric scooter. This is a battery rental program. That is, the cost of the battery will be recovered as a rental fee according to the number of kilometers you drive the vehicle. Where you will have to pay every month as EMI, but you will have to pay separately for charging the battery.
